Celebrity Cruises Century major revitalization upgraded staterooms, suites, a theatre, lounges and a few important restaurant venues. The Lido Café being the most traveled dining venue with ever changing buffets throughout the day. The space was updated with a fun custom patterned carpet, newly refreshed millwork and custom upholstered banquet seating and a unique glass partition screen with a ‘seagrass’ flowing etched motif.
The aft pie shaped portion of the Lido café was designated as the first ‘Sushi bar at Sea’ and reflected a sophisticated yet understated palette. Bamboo flooring was used in this specialty dining area while a raised accent ceiling feature with large scale colored pendants were made by overseas contractors specifically for the space.
Tables were created by a Miami based artist and imported from South America, made with crushed coconuts and set into a slick glossy top. Solid surface countertops added to the smoothly textured features, along with horizontal striped zebrano wood on the face of the buffet counter.
